In the late 1960s, Germaine Lauzon is the lucky winner of a million stamps in an upscale neighborhood on the island of Montreal (in the province of Quebec, Canada), which will enable her to buy all the appliances, furniture, clothes and other accessories she’s ever dreamed of.
